White Sox and Cubs both win last night

Avisail Garcia slugged a three-run homer in the seventh inning as the White Sox pulled away for a 4-1 win over the Yankees in the Bronx. Leury Garcia also homered as Chicago snapped New York's eight-game winning streak. Miguel Gonzalez took a shutout into the ninth, allowing one run on four hits over eight-and-a-third frames to move to 2-and-0.

Luis Severino took the loss. Starlin Castro's bases-loaded walk plated the Yankees' run in the ninth.

Final game of the series is tonight. The game can be heard on Good Time Oldies 1060.

The Cubs stopped a four-game losing streak by rallying for a 9-7 win over the Brewers at Wrigley Field.  Kyle Schwarber and Miguel Montero launched two-run homers for Chicago, which erased a 5-0 deficit.  Justin Grimm got the win in relief and Wade Davis earned his third save.

Milwaukee's Eric Thames had three hits, but his franchise record-tying home run streak ended at five games.  Jared Hughes was charged with the loss.

The Cubs and Brewers wrap up the series this afternoon at Wrigley Field.
