White Sox lose second straight game to Arizona

Jake Lamb hit a two-run homer during a three-run first and the Diamondbacks held on for a 5-4 win over the White Sox. Chris Herrmann clubbed a solo homer in the second for Arizona, which has won seven of its last eight. Patrick Corbin went six-plus innings to move to 4-and-4. Fernando Rodney notched his 11th save.

Jose Abreu, Melky Cabrera and Todd Frazier all went deep for Chicago, which has lost the first two in the three-game set. It was Abreu's 100th home run in his career.

Dylan Covey, who left in the third with oblique soreness, dropped to 0-and-4.

Final game of the series is this afternoon with the Pre-Game Show at 2:05 on Good Time Oldies 1060.
