Rochelle Township High School will be in 3 finals today at the Boys Class 2A State Track & Field Meet in Charleston.
Matthew Drendel and Andrew Myers will be in the finals in the 800 meter run and high jump events. The 1600 meter relay team will also be in the finals.
Drendel had the 3rd best time in the 800 at 1:57.77. Myers made the qualifying height of 6-3 in the high jump.
The 1600 meter relay team had the 8th best time of 3:25.11. The relay includes Matthew Drendel, Michael Drendel, Lance Huftalin, and Austin Walsh.
Byron High School had their 3200 meter relay team qualify for the finals today. Their time of 8:07.49 was 9th best on Friday
The relay team includes Jack Fortener, Luke Chernick, Colton Johnson, and Chase Sarver.
