Brandon McCarthy and Ross Stripling combined for a three-hitter as the Dodgers shutout the Cubs, 5-0, in Los Angeles. McCarthy tossed six innings of two-hit ball to get the win, Stripling surrendered one hit on his way to a three inning save. Chase Utley notched three RBI and Chris Taylor homered in the winning effort. The Dodgers have won three-straight.
Chicago was held scoreless for the second consecutive day. John Lackey save up five-runs in five frames to take the loss.
