Cardinals and Brewers both lose

The Orioles chased Adam Wainwright with a seven-run second inning as they crushed the Cardinals, 15-7, in Baltimore. The O's finished with five home runs while J.J. Hardy and Trey Mancini each had two-run doubles to key the big second frame. Jonathan Schoop finished 4-for-5 with two homers, three runs and four RBI. Wade Miley pitched into the sixth to get the win for Baltimore. The O's are 33-and-34. Wainwright gave up seven hits and nine runs before exiting with his fifth loss for St. Louis. Paul DeJong, Dexter Fowler and Yadier Molina all homered in defeat for the Cards, who are 31-and-36. The rubber match is today.

Cory Spangenburg and Chase d'Arnaud hit solo home runs
in the 11th inning to lead San Diego to a victory over Milwaukee.
The Padres combined for five home runs, two of them off the bat of
Yangervis Solarte, who has three in his last two games and four in
his last nine.
Milwaukee hit three home runs, including an inside-the-park homer
from Orlando Arcia.
