Jon Lester pitched seven innings of three-hit, one-run ball and the Cubs held on to beat the Braves 4-3 at SunTrust Park. Lester evened his record at 6-and-6 with the win. Wade Davis gave up two runs in the bottom of the ninth, but left the bases loaded in recording his 18th save. Ben Zobrist had a two-run single and Anthony Rizzo homered as Chicago won its fourth in-a-row.
Julio Teheran gave up just two runs in six frames, but fell to 7-and-7 with the loss. Brandon Phillips had two hits and an RBI for Atlanta, which had its winning streak stopped at three.
