The Giants jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and held on for a 6-3 win against the Cubs at AT&T Park. Buster Posey's three-run shot put San Francisco ahead as he added two hits and two runs scored. Ty Blach held Chicago to two runs over seven innings to improve to 8-and-7. Sam Dyson closed out the ninth for his seventh save.
Jose Quintana fell to 2-and-2, allowing three earned runs in six innings. Ian Happ drove in two. The teams play the rubber match of the three-game series this afternoon.
