Kris Bryant belted a three-run homer and finished with four RBI as the Cubs clobbered the Mets 8-3 in Chicago. Kyle Schwarber and Ian Happ added solo shots for Chicago, which stopped a three-game skid. Jose Quintana struck out seven over seven innings of two-run ball to improve to 6-and-3.
Nori Aoki knocked in a run and scored another for New York in the opener of the three-game set. Robert Gsellman allowed four runs during his four-inning start to fall to 6-and-7.
