Local Sports
Ailani Thiravong of Rochelle was eliminated from Regional competition Sunday at the Drive, Chip, and Putt competition in Ooltewah, Tennessee.
Ailani took part in the girls 7 through 9 year old age group at the Honor Golf Course. She finished in 6th place in her division with a total of 50 points between her drive, chip, and putt.
Qualifying out of the Regional was Julie Waldo of Prattville, Alabama. She totaled 101 points.
The finals for the Boys and Girls Drive, Chip, and Putt are held the Sunday prior to the beginning of the Masters.
