Grayslake Central Class 2A Sectional (Stonewall Orchard Golf Course)
**RTHS senior Noah Griffith qualified for the Boys Class 2A State Golf Tournament this Friday and Saturday with a 12 over par 84. It was the final score that qualified as an individual golfer for the State Tournament.
Noah parred 8 of his final 11 holes on his round.
Griffith becomes the first golfer at RTHS since 2009 to play at the State Golf Tournament. John Crystal qualified that year.
The 36-hole event will be played at Weibring Golf Club on the campus of Illinois State University in Normal.
Garrett Glosser of Rochelle shot an 89 and did not qualify for the State Tournament.
The medalist for the Sectional was Nick Cenuzzi of Sterling who shot a 1 under par 71.
Prairie Ridge of Crystal Lake won the Sectional with a 318 score. St. Viator of Arlington Heights came in second place with a 329 total while Vernon Hills shot a 335 and also qualified for the State Tournament.
