Jake Arrieta finally has a new home, with USA Today reporting that
the 2015 NL Cy Young Award winner has agreed to a three-year, $75
million deal with the Phillies
Arrieta joins Philadelphiafollowing a highly successful five-year run with the Cubs, where he compiled a 68-31 record and a 2.73 ERA and led the majors with 22
victories in 2015. It's the second major free-agent acquisition
this offseason for the Phillies, who signed first baseman Carlos
Santana to a three-year, $60 million contract in December.
