Gregory Polanco hit a pair of solo homers and Francisco Cervelli added a three-run shot as the Pirates cruised past the Cubs 6-1 at Wrigley Field. Adam Frazier also went deep for Pittsburgh, which took two-of-three in the series and improved to 9-and-3 overall. Trevor Williams hurled six innings of one-run ball to up his record to 3-and-0.
Kyle Schwarber homered for the Cubs, who dropped to 6-and-6. Kyle Hendricks yielded two runs in six frames to fall to 0-and-1.
The Cubs open up a series against Atlanta this afternoon at Wrigley Field.
