The Cubs racked up 18 hits as they crushed the Rockies 16-5 at Coors Field. Javier Baez and Kyle Schwarber homered and each drove in four runs for the Cubbies, who improved to 9-and-8. The game got out of hand with a seven-run Chicago sixth inning. Kyle Hendricks tossed five innings of three-run ball to earn the win.
Rockies' starter Jon Gray allowed eight hits and seven runs over five innings to fall to 1-and-4. Nolan Arenado homered in the loss as the Rox fell to 2-and-5 at home.
