Kyle Schwarber hit two solo bombs to help the Indians sink the Cubs 10-3 in the first of two at Progressive Field. Wilson Contreras and Ian Happ also both hit solo shots with Happ compiling three hits, two runs and two RBI. Tyler Chatwood earned the victory as Chicago has won four-of-five to improve to 11-and-9.
Josh Tomlin didn't make it out of the fourth inning, giving up five runs on seven hits to take the loss. Jose Ramirez and Bradley Zimmer each had three hits for Cleveland, which had a three-game winning streak come to an end. The Indians are 12-and-9.
