A Rochelle woman was arrested yesterday morning following an altercation with local police.
The incident began a short time before 9:30 in the 500 block of South 2nd Street. Police were responding to a domestic altercation as 37-year old Cristina Pelayo had allegedly scratched and hit in the face the male subject.
She then got into a confrontation with officers at the scene as Pelayo allegedly struck 1 of them and damage his glasses.
No one suffered any serious injuries from the incident. Pelayo has been arrested on the charge of aggravated battery, resisting arrest along domestic battery and criminal damage to property.
She was transported to the Ogle County jail without bond following the arrest. Pelayo will appear before a judge this weekend in Oregon when that figure will be set.
