Approximately one-point-three million vehicles are being recalled by Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles for two different issues. The company says over 770-thousand Dodge Journeys sold in the U.S. and Canada between 2011 and 2015 can have the driver side airbag deploy unexpectedly. A wiring issue in the steering wheel assembly has been identified as the problem.
The second recall is for certain models of the Dodge Charger, Chrysler 300, Dodge Challenger and Jeep Grand Cherokees made between 2011 and 2014. The alternators need to be replaced on those vehicles to prevent problems with the steering and anti-lock braking system.
