City officials in Rochelle may soon see the benefits of a visit by Gredco Director Jason Anderson last month to Germany and Poland.
Anderson was part of a trade mission with Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner for 12 days.
2 officials who have connections with businesses in Germany plan to visit Rochelle next Wednesday. Jason Anderson said that the Deputy Consul-General of Germany and the CEO German American Chamber of Commerce will be in the Hub City.
City officials plan to make stops at the Business and Technology Park, the industrial park with the city railroad, and at a couple of businesses which includes the MightyVine greenhouse.
Last September, a delegation of Japan officials also visited Rochelle to look at the different features in the community.
Anderson said at this time, he has not been contacted by any German businesses following his trip last month. He has been corresponding with around 6 companies who have some interests or investments in Illinois which would be a good fit in Rochelle.
