ROCHELLE - The Flagg-Rochelle Park District will be reworking plans for Helms Park after their attempt to get an OSLAD Grant, Open Space Lands Acquisitions and Development funds from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, fell through. The district applied last fall for $600,000. Executive Director Jackee Ohlinger said they will continue to work on the stadium, including painting and also repairing the tennis courts with some surface work, new nets and new storage. The track removal project continues, weather permitting.
