ROCHELLE - Gas main work will bring lane closures to streets in Rochelle through mid-summer. NICOR has notified the city that a replacement project will create temporary lane closures along 1st Avenue, from the Route 251 Overpass to South 2nd Street, and along Main Street from 1st Avenue to 2nd Avenue. The project began this week and is expected to take until mid-July to complete. Delays are expected and motorists should seek alternate routes.
