City of DeKalb Donates to New Jobs Program

DEKALB - The City of DeKalb donated $125,000 in support of a new program that will help connect residents to employment opportunities and give aspiring entrepreneurs business-building tools. Last week Mayor Cohen Barnes presented the check to Project Launchpad, a nonprofit that has arranged nearly two-dozen local partnerships for their program, which will be centered in the Annie Glidden North neighborhood. The program will also offer a 12-week Community Business Academy.
