Give DeKalb County Underway

DEKALB - The yearly event that is a major fundraiser for non-profits in DeKalb County is underway. Give DeKalb County is an event organized by the DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership, which is a program sponsored by the DeKalb County Community Foundation. Founded in 2014, it channels donors to over 150 different non-profits throughout the county. Director Ben Bingle, of the NCNP, said that they have collected over $8.7 million since the program began. You can donate at the website, GiveDeKalbCounty.org until midnight tonight, and some of those donations will be boosted from the $200,000 Bonus Pool, making your contributions go further. Bingle said that you can cheer on the non-profits you support online.

“It’s an exciting day and a full day,” he said, “We’ll see those donations rolling in in real time, there’ll be leader boards on the home page and you can check in on your favorite non-profits and watch their progress.”
