CORTLAND - A Maple Park woman was seriously injured after a two vehicle crash on Saturday. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office say around noon they were called to the intersection of Pleasant Street and Airport Road, where they say a 25-year-old Cortland woman allegedly failed to yield at the intersection, and struck a vehicle driven by a 54-year-old Maple Park woman. Authorities say the Maple Park woman was eventually flown to a Rockford hospital. Her current condition was not disclosed. The Sheriff’s Office announced that the 25-year-old Shannon N. Sullivan was charged with DUI and Failure to Yield. The crash remains under investigation.
