Aaron Judge added a two-run shot for New York, which led 7-0 in the fifth inning. Jordan Montgomery pitched six-plus innings of three-run ball for his first win as New York won its eighth in-a-row.
Derek Holland didn't survive the fifth and took the loss. Carlos Sanchez hit a three-run homer for Chicago.

Eric Thames snapped a 3-all tie with a solo homer in the third inning and the Brewers went on to beat the Cubs 6-3 at Wrigley Field. Ryan Braun hit a two-run shot in the first inning and Jett Bandy went deep in the second as Milwaukee won for the sixth time in seven games. John Lackey pitched six innings of four-run ball to take the loss.
Ben Zobrist singled in a run and Albert Almora Jr. had a two-run double for Chicago, which has lost four in-a-row.
The Cubs and Brewers play again tonight at Wrigley Field.
