Danby Swanson crushed a solo homer, while Nico Hoerner drove in a pair of runs with a fifth-inning double. Christopher Morel also tallied an RBI as Chicago remains second in the NL Central at 21-and-14.
William Contreras and Sal Frelick hit doubles for Milwaukee. Freddy Peralta got the loss as the Brew Crew sit first in the division at 20-and-13.
The Cubs open up a series with San Diego on Monday at Wrigley Field.
